Billing & Insurance Information
Virginia Cardiovascular Specialists participates with most major insurance plans. As a courtesy to our patients, our staff will automatically file your insurance claims. Please provide us with all necessary insurance data, including the name and address of your company and your policy number. All patients are requested to pay any required co-payments at the time of their office visit or the appointment will need to be rescheduled.
For self pay and high deductible health plan members, VCS will collect $200 at time of service for testing unless the patient has met their deductible for the year. VCS will also require that self pay and high deductible health plan members leave a credit card on file. The credit card will not be processed until after full insurance adjudication. Amounts over $150 will be authorized with the patient first. Receipts will be mailed or emailed to patients.
If your insurance company requires a referral, please make sure to obtain this from your primary care physician prior to your appointment.
If you are uninsured, or experiencing financial difficulties, payment arrangements can be made available for qualified patients. Contact the Business Office at 804-521-5823 for additional information.
There will be a $20 pre-payment charge for all forms that need to be completed by A VCS physician. Due to the high volume of forms we receive, please allow 7 business days to get the form back to you. If there is a need for the form sooner, there is an additional $10 "rush" surcharge. Please fill out any patient specific sections prior to submission to VCS. All forms need to include instructions as to where to send the forms once completed, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope if they are to be mailed.
If you have any questions regarding our financial policy or your billing statement, please call our Business Office at 804-521-5823, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
