This risk assessment tool, based on information from the Framingham Heart Study**, is commonly used by cardiologists and other physicians to help predict your risk of developing a heart attack or dying from heart disease in the next 10 years. Knowing your risk will help you take control of your heart health and provide you and your physician with the best defense against cardiovascular disease.

This tool is designed for people age 20 years and older without known heart disease and who do not have diabetes. If you have already been diagnosed with heart disease or diabetes, this tool will not accurately assess your risk. Please continue to work with your doctor to control your risk factors and make smart lifestyle choices to reduce your risk of heart disease.

Our most accurate tool for determining if you are at risk for heart disease is the CT Heart Scan at InteCardia. The CT Heart Scan can identify your risk for a heart attack well before you have any outward symptoms of heart disease. Heart Scans are recommended for anyone who does not currently have symptoms, but does have risk factors for developing heart disease. For more information, click here.
